This is an extremely accurate model of the three-man scout craft based on extensive measurements taken from the actual studio model filmed for the FX sequences. The same "kitbashed" parts used on the original miniature were painstakingly researched and utilized for utmost accuracy. The model was mastered and then cast in the highest quality urethane resin with solid metal rods embedded in the legs for rigidity and strength. The legs will NOT sag over time and will support the model. The body and the spherical pods are hollow cast to save weight and reduce distortion and are complete with fully engraved panel lines and raised plates. Overall length including rear engines and the "probe" on the nose is 13 inches, width is 11-3/8 inches and height is 7-1/4 inches. Price of the kit is shown at the bottom of this page. Please note that the decals for this kit are not included as I cannot find a reliable printer for them. However, Jbot has the artwork and may be able to print them out for you if you can wait for them. If you have the ability to print decals yourself or have a friend that can do it for you, please request the needed artwork from me at the time you order your kit. I will email it to you at no additional charge. Please keep in mind that these kits, like all items on the Small Art Works web site are NOT mass produced but made to order on an individual basis, so delivery time may be longer than you might expect.
